I thought I would try this for the wii as it was inexpensive, really surprised at the quality small compact and looks great, plugs into the back of the wii with the supplied cable, the battery’s are built into the new covers which are a excellent fit and have a small hole in them so you can sync your controls if need be, two supplied 2800mAh NiMH.
Remember to give them a good charge first time twelve hours at least, when you charge the lights on the docking station turn red and then blue once fully charged, for the price you can’t go wrong, as two packs of decent alkaline battery’s would nearly cost you the same.
Haven’t had it long enough for a longevity test, but I will follow the usual guideline with rechargeable battery’s, give them a good charge to start of with and run them flat, and another good charge and do that periodically.

Recieved the charger within a few days. The design and size is very comapct making it ideal when space is at a premiuim. The lights are great and when charging overnight my kids loved the lights on the base glowing. Have used a couple of times and works great, remember to leave the charger for min. 12 hours on 1st charge.
Only one small minus point, the Wii has to be on for remotes to charge. I would of prefered for them to charge on standby mode.
Overall very happy would of been 5 stars if the above mentioned was available.

Remotes do not store power for any length of time. You have to leave them permanently charging. If you take them off the charger for 30 minutes (to free up a USB port) then they lose all their power. Even when taken off charge and used straightaway the batteries do not last very long at all!
complete waste of money – luckily the price is low otherwise I would be more annoyed with this purchase. I would advise going for something else, but in the meantime I will be sticking with normal batteries

Fast delivery, and good packaging. The item is small and compact and sympathetically fits in well with the rest of the Wii equipment without taking up much room. The base light can be either on and illuminated or turned off, the charging does seem to be a little sparodic, I have had the items on charge, the colour indicator changes from red to blue to indicate fully charged. I have then removed the controller, not used it, and then placed it back in the cradle immediately afterwards and the lights have returned to red to charge. Because the item connects through a USB cable for power you can also connect via your computer to charge. However for the money it is really good value compared to other similar products on the market, however a small instruction pamphlet to be included would be a benefit for those people not necessarily aufait with equipment set-up, and to realise that the initial charge period for the batteries needs to be 12 hours. I only found this out from the reviews previously listed, this detail should be included from the supplier.

The Wii Nunchuk (this is the official spelling!) is used in a few games. Most often, it’s used in first-person perspective games as a joystick to control your movement, while the Wii Remote is controlling your view.
As well as the joystick and 2 buttons, it also has motion-sensing capabilities, so you can use it (for example) in Wii boxing to represent your right hand (or left hand if you are left-handed) . In Red Steel, and Zelda, you use both the joystick and motion.
However, since you get one Nunchuk with the Wii, it’s really only worth purchasing this if you want to use it for multiplayer games that require it (Wii Boxing in Wii Sports, Red Steel, Rayman Ravin’ Rabbids, etc).
The Nunchuk won’t work without a Remote, and is attached to it via a wire, which mostly stays out of the way.
It’s worth buying, but only if you know you have a game that requires it…

I was lucky enough to get hold of a Nunchuck a couple of weeks ago when Amazon had some stock.
Personally I think it’s an essential purchase, if only so you can play 2 player boxing. There’s nothing better than having a good fight with your mates, especially when you knock them out in the first round.
Only time will tell how many multiplayer games will take advantage of the Nunchuck, but I’m pretty sure a large number will. It offers a couple of extra buttons, the analogue stick and the motion sensitivity.
My only complaint is that you have to plug it into the remote and the wire can get in the way. But having the wire does mean it doesn’t require any batteries so there is an advantage.

The Wii Nunchuck is a must have accessory for any wii gamer. Although the nintendo wii comes with one wiimote and nunchuck, if you want to play any game in multiplayer, it will be necessary to purchase another wiimote as well as a nunchuck to enjoy the game fully. In fact, most games require the nunchuck to play and it is not optional to play with just the wiimote.
I can find no reason to give this device such a poor review, nintendo tries to include games from all backgrounds and with the wii, all age groups. Seeing older relatives get involved in games is great fun, without such revolutionary controls they would not be so interested.
The nunchuck is simple to move, it consists a basic 4 way motion sensor and analogue control stick alongside a trigger button and a c button, both easily operable by ones thumb and forefinger. In my opinion it is easier to use than a standard controller especially if you have joint problems such as arthritis.
In summary Nintendo has tried very hard to build an inclusive controller, and even though for some it may not be ideal, i think it strikes the best balance, between inclusion and functionality.

This is a very useful add-on for the Wii Remote. It gives you the freedom of 3D-Movement on screen in games such as Zelda or Red Steel and is also motion sensitive like the Remote so you use both hands to interact with the games. It also give you two more buttons (Z and C) so you have even more control over your gameplay. Included with the console and a must buy for each remote you own!!

I am far from a Console addict, this is my first purchase as a console as I have to say, it takes it to a whole new dimension. You interact with the game, you aren’t sat down twiddling thumbs you are up and moving. Wii sports is great and the addition of the nunchuk just adds.
This additional nunchuk is so I can play 2 player against my family and friends.
